My therapeutic approach is based on a simple premise: When others support us in feeling more fully seen and heard, we begin to see and hear ourselves more clearly as well.
We’ll do this within the context of a relationship grounded in genuine warmth, humor, curiosity, and deep trust, no matter what initially brings us together. You might be feeling anxious, depressed, stuck, bereaved, confused, angry. Perhaps you’re feeling some or all all those emotions while you search for a therapist for yourself or someone you love.
Together, we will move through the beauty, the pain, the paradoxes. I’ll meet you wherever you are.
Welcome
I work with a diverse range of adults and teens, offering a unique approach in response to the needs and preferences of each client. I’m culturally sensitive and welcoming of all.
People seek my support for a variety of reasons, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, life transitions, LGBTQIA+, relationship- and work conflict, parenting, pregnancy and postpartum life, women’s health, grief, and more. Bring it, and we’ll move through it.
My areas of focus and formal training are always growing and deepening. I use a trauma-informed, relational lens. Within this exists psychodynamic theory, attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, mindfulness, mind-body interventions, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), explorations of shame and vulnerability, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and play and playfulness.
Knowledge gained as an educator and landscape historian has led me to decode and interpret people and places wherever I go, whether professionally or personally. I use many of the same skills of observation, attunement, and communication as a therapist. I feel grateful to connect these disciplines in the service of others.
